The Argus Companies were created in 2002 and have quickly become some of the top full-service companies in Colorado and Texas. Built on a good reputation and strong reliability, Argus is responsible for providing staff and services for some of the most prominent venues in the state.
All of the Argus Companies are solely owned and managed by Thompson Smith. Mr. Smith is a Littleton, Colorado resident that entered the event staffing business as an eager 18-year old in 1982. From the start, Mr. Smith knew that this was the business for him and started a staffing company after college.
The success of the Argus Companies can be attributed to the dedicated and devoted management staff and employees. Each employee must have the perfect attitude to work with the Argus Companies and our goal is to treat patrons as if they are guests in our own homes; staff members are responsible for getting that message to our patrons. Argus employees are tasked with creating the BEST first impression at our venues and events, and all Argus employees know they are representing the venues and events at which they work.

About the Logo
The Argus Companies peacock logo has its roots in Greek mythology. Formally known as "Argus Panoptes", Argus was a multi-eyed giant that was commonly referred to as being all-seing. Argus was the servant to Hera and she frequently tasked him to guard and protect items that were precious to her. Following his death at the hand of Hermes, Hera placed the eyes of Argus in the tail of the peacock, where they have survived ever since.Read more in the Wikipedia
